I am an animal technician in the biotechnology division of the Laboratory of Biometry and Evolutionary Biology.
I contribute to the rearing of various Drosophila species in the lab (Drosophila melanogaster, D. simulans, and D. suzukii), as well as Venturia canescens.
I carry out a range of experiments on these insects, including longevity monitoring and dissections.
Each year, I participate in field collections of Venturia canescens to establish new lab strains and to conduct behavioral experiments on individuals not reared in the laboratory.
I am also responsible for the maintenance and logistical management of the lab’s incubator facilities.
